I was planning to see new release in theaters.....! Of course that might surprise you! but the reality is from Feb 1 New Delhi government allowed to Cinema halls to open with full capacity by strictly following the COVID-19 prevention protocols like Wearing masks inside the hall will be mandatory; initially, there will be just two shows and after each show the full hall sanitization is mandatory. Han cleaners and staff needs to pay extra efforts to make their self clean and no contact during the entrance and allocation of the seats.
"people can watch and enjoy films in theatres as we are allowing full occupancy in all cinema halls. Cinema halls can now open at 100% capacity. We encourage as much online booking (of Tickets) as much as possible" said by Javadekar
However the rules are different in different states based on COVID-19 cases. Delhi, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka some of the states where cinema halls reopened. Theatres and multiplexes remain closed in states like Maharashtra, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Chhattisgarh. Cinema halls in the northeastern states have not opened as the states have not issued any guidelines. as in those cities there will be higer number of COVID-19 cases.
We are hoping to get the guidelines for those states as well so people over there can enjoy the movies on a big screens.
Some personal advices I could share is untill or unless you are huge fan of any start I suggest not to go at such crowded area because we never who is coming from where and most of the public will travel by the public transports which has a high changes to get infected by somebody as that is public properties.
Even after having Vaccination in India we still need to be careful about these cases coz there are cases where even after having a vaccination people are not able to prevent their self from COVID-19. the good news is we are in better position from other countries and I hoping very soon our country will be corona free.
Google says
